Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

How wonderful that Jesus loved us so much that He was prepared to die on that cruel cross and take all our sins upon Himself that we may be saved and, if we believe in Him, live forever. All the Glory to Him !

As Christians we Died with Christ, (Crucified) As Christians we are Alive With Christ, (Christ Lives In Me/ Us) As Christians We Are Loved By Christ (The Son Of God Who Gave His Life For Me/ Us) And that our New Life and Salvation by Grace, is accomplished through Faith in Jesus Christ.

Amen Peter. It is obvious that there was division in the body and Paul was trying to unite them, whether Jew or Gentile and only faith in Christ mattered, and not whether one was circumcised or not. Be blessed and protected in the Lord, Peter. Calling for major storm here later Tuesday, but hopefully it evades us, as there are some activities taking place that could be interrupted like our Wednesday Bible study and a Pioneer Club event that has already been cancelled three times this year. :-)

Galatians 2: 20-21 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." When Jesus died on the cross, a "great exchange" took place. That exchange is our sin for Christ's righteousness. I ask people all the time why they think God should let them into Heaven, and I've heard just about every answer. Basically, people say it's because of something THEY'VE done. Been a good person, got sober, they were a good parent, I even had an ex-marine tell me because he was gonna guard the pearly gates. The Christian life isn't difficult, it's impossible. We can't EVER be good enough to "earn" Heaven. When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, He prayed, "Father, if there's ANY other way, let this cup pass from Me". Do you think that God would've let His only begotten Son go thru the torment and torture if there was ANOTHER way? How cruel would that be? 1 Peter 1 and Revelation 13 tell us that Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Before Adam and Eve were ever in the garden, it was decided that God would give mankind dominion over this world, but that they'd sin and thereby, sign the deed of dominion over to Satan; and that Jesus would come and be slain to pay the penalty for that sin, and defeat Satan and purchase the earth back. Now it's our job to accept that "great exchange" and appropriate it in our lives, and occupy til He returns. Romans 5 tells us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This is a past tense statement. Jesus loved us and died for us while we were sinners, He didn't do it because we did ANYTHING to deserve it. When we "get it" that Jesus loved us that much, we can ask Him to forgive our sins and come in to be our Lord, Saviour and forever friend, then relax and allow Christ to live thru us. We're just managers of our life, taking orders from our commander in Chief, Jesus. Then the life we live is thru faith. Not head knowledge, as in knowing facts about Jesus, or temporary faith like when something isn't good or we're afraid, but transferring our trust from ANYTHING we do to ONLY what Jesus did for us. Then, we still want to do those good things, but as a "thank You", for our free gift, not as a reason to go to Heaven. Papa God, thank You for the free gift that Jesus gave by living a life I couldn't live and dying a death I deserved, that I receive, and will spend forever with You in Heaven. Use me to share that free gift with a many as possible, that none should perish but all come to eternal life, in Jesus name, Amen.

This Scripture is true for me. The life I used to live wasn't for Christ at all, actually I didn't even know Him. But one night for some reason I called on his name and have been being transformed daily. I'm glad that he lives in me or I would probably have died in sin

When Christ died on the Cross each Believer died with him, Dead to Sin Alive in Christ Romans 6:6-8 For we know that our old self was Crucified with Him so that the body ruled by Sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to Sin- because anyone who has died has been set free from Sin. Now if we died with Christ, we Believe that we will also Live with Him.

Amen, Peter, and what a glorious day that will be, when we can cast off this physical body that has to fight against its sinful nature. Rom 7:14-17 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. (15) For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. (16) If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. (17) Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. God bless.
