Deuteronomy 3:27
Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan.
Timothy H.
Timothy H. from Melrose, MA said:
Although Moses was unable to enter the promised land, God at least let him see with his own eyes that the inheritance was in fact real, as God had promised. It seems to me that though we have not yet seen our own inheritance of heaven, yet God has given us a "vision" through His holy word, that our inheritance is real. For Moses, seeing from the mountaintop validated what God had promised was true; for us seeing the life to come from the mountaintop of God's promises validates for us that what God promises us for the life to come is true!

Titus 2:5
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Timothy H.
Timothy H. from Melrose, MA said:
"Self-controlled" is mentioned twice in this chapter. The entire tenor of the passage speaks of living a life which is disciplined, self-controlled, and Spirit led. We in the household of faith would do well to "examine ourselves" daily to see if our lifestyle to the watching world is speaking Christ to the world. We dare not be lazy or lax in our walk. As our world and our culture become even darker, we must remember that living out our faith in a disciplined and self-controlled manner "speaks" to the suffering, the lost, and the seeking.

Titus 1:9
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

Timothy H.
Timothy H. from Melrose, MA said:
First, the message from God through his word is fully and completely worthy of my trust. It is a bedrock for life and living. It is also the only message which can lift and encourage others who are in need of hope that is real and lasting. Finally, it has the power to undo by its very nature the lies which oppose the Gospel. The message has been attacked by many through the centuries and has alway stood because of its power to refute error.

2 Timothy 4:17
But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth.

Timothy H. from Melrose, MA said:
God is faithful when all others desert us. He is also faithful to us as we proclaim His message to the world, and will go to whatever lengths necessary to protect and keep us until His work in us is done.
