America at 250: Celebrating Freedom That Lasts Forever

America’s 250th anniversary invites a moment of awe.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are reminded of how deeply our nation’s founders valued freedom, how they fought for it, shaped it, and sacrificed to secure it. Their vision continues to echo through history, calling each generation to consider what freedom truly means.

At The Pocket Testament League, we remain focused on what we know best, sharing the freedom that is found in Jesus Christ.

Because while political freedom is worth celebrating, there is a greater freedom available to every person.

In John 8:36, we read: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” And in Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

This is the freedom that transforms lives, freedom from sin, freedom that lasts forever.

And it is a freedom that is still being discovered across America today.

Since the beginning of this year, nearly 500,000 people across the United States have been invited to meet Jesus through the Gospel of John. That number reflects something deeply encouraging. Hearts are still open. There is still a hunger for God’s Word.

This mission moves forward through ordinary believers placing Scripture into someone’s hands and extending a simple invitation, “Would you read this?”

We are grateful for every hand that shares His Word and for every life that is being changed because of it.

Across the country, stories continue to emerge of individuals encountering Jesus and experiencing true freedom. Lives are being transformed. People are placing their faith in Christ. The message of hope is not slowing down. It is advancing.

As celebrations unfold across the nation this weekend, we rejoice not only in the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, but in the eternal freedom being embraced by so many.

And whether here at home or around the world, our mission remains unchanged, to invite as many people as possible to meet Jesus with God’s Word, showing them the freedom that can only be found in Christ.
