Inviting the World Into True Freedom

Last week marked another Fourth of July, when we celebrate freedom as a nation. At the same time, something just as powerful was happening across the world as people responded to the ultimate freedom found in the Gospel.

As we come out of the holiday weekend, we are drawn to a region where freedom is often limited, the Greater Middle East. Even there, the hunger for Jesus is unmistakable.

In just the past 90 days, more than 145,000 invitations through the Gospel of John have been extended across 18 countries in this region. Behind every number is a person, someone searching, someone open, someone longing for truth.

The highest levels of engagement have come from:

  • Pakistan — 37,813 invitations

  • Iraq — 33,738 invitations

  • Iran — 32,155 invitations

Each of these represents an individual being invited to encounter Jesus through His Word.

When this data was shared with a ministry partner serving in Iran, the response was immediate: “Praise God for the continued thirst for Jesus.” That simple statement reflects what we are seeing across the region. People are seeking, and they are responding.

In Iran especially, where engagement continues to grow, a new partnership with Elam Ministries is opening even more doors. Together, we are preparing to launch a Farsi-speaking community within our mobile app. This will create space for deeper connection, discipleship, and encouragement.

At the same time, this movement is not confined to one region.

As visitors from the Greater Middle East have traveled to the United States around global events like the FIFA World Cup, League Members and Partners have shared the Gospel personally. The result is more than 15,000 soccer-related Gospel invitations.

Many of these individuals are now carrying the Word of God back with them to their home countries.

Two very different environments. One consistent outcome. People are being invited to meet Jesus through His Word.

This is why we continue.

And this is where we ask for prayer.

Pray for the Greater Middle East, for open hearts, for courage, and for continued access to the Gospel. Pray for our partners who are faithfully serving, often at great cost. Pray for those who are seeking, that they would be found and brought into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
